The group of Prof. Adilson E. Motter at Northwestern University has an opening for postdoctoral researchers interested in dynamical aspects of complex network systems. The main topics of interest include: dynamics of biological, biochemical, and chemical networks; symmetry in network structure and dynamics; power-grid modeling, optimization, and control; synchronization, cascades, and pattern formation; applications of missing information techniques and control theory to complex systems; quantum phenomena in networks. Ideal candidates will be new or recent PhDs with good analytical, computational, and communication skills. Salary can vary with qualifications. Exceptionally qualified applicants may be considered for a research faculty appointment. To apply, candidates should e-mail a CV and a brief research statement to Prof. Motter at email@example.com. The application deadline is November 15, 2017.
