The North Carolina State University Mathematics Department has a tradition of research in dynamical systems and biological applications going back to the 1960's. Current interests include traveling waves and their stability, geometric dynamics, population dynamics, physiological models, dynamics of infectious disease, and numerical methods inspired by dynamical systems. The history and activities of the group, and research of associated faculty in Physics and Environmental Engineering, are described in the article Dynamical Systems at North Carolina State University on DSWeb.
