DSWeb Dynamical Systems Software aims to collect all available software on dynamical systems theory. This project was originally launched during the special year Emerging Applications of Dynamical Systems, 1997/1998, at the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications. The information here includes functionality, platforms, languages, references, and contacts.

SciLab/Scicos

SciLab is similiar to MatLab in approach. Scicos is a GUI for system modeling; see http://www.scilab.org. It is free and the present versions are stable on both Linux and MSwindows. I have used it for a MIMO thermal modeling using a state-space approach, PWM modeling and temperature conversions.
A lot of other packages besides Scicos are available; system identification, time series analysis, etc... For more information please see their site; extensive documentation is available along with source code.
