Last year, SIAG DS elected new SIAG DS officers for the 2020-2022 term. As a result, the new secretary of the SIAG, Robby Marangell, will assume the role of magazine section chief editor, replacing Anna Ghazaryan in that capacity. He will share this position with Korana Burke, who has been with DSWeb since 2014. Below is a statement  from the outgoing magazine section editor and an introduction of the new editorial team.

Anna Ghazaryan: I believe that in these past two years DSWeb has been going strong. I am proud of the work that we have done with the last eight issues, including the current one. I enjoyed working on every single issue. Working on DSWeb magazine was a great experience: it pushed me outside of my comfort zone and it was a great opportunity to learn about online publishing, about working with people outside of my academic routine, and about myself. The insanity of the week before the deadlines was unbelievable, but so was the satisfaction I felt when an issue went live. I would like to thank my immediate DSWeb family, people who I relied on these past two years: Korana Burke, Alena Talkacheva, and James Haines. I am most grateful to the people who responded to my personal requests for contributions to the magazine.

Korana Burke: I have been involved with DSWeb since 2014 and if you still don’t know me, you can read my old introductory editorial from the October 2014 issue. I look forward to working with Robby Marangell and the rest of the DSWeb team.

Robby Marangell is a senior lecturer at the University of Sydney in the Applied Mathematics group. His research interests are in the fields of dynamical systems and PDEs. He uses geometric and topological methods to study the temporal dynamics and stability of solutions to PDEs.
