Dynamical Systems at the 2008 SIAM Annual Meeting

The 2008 SIAM Annual Meeting was held from July 7-11 at the Town and Country Resort Hotel and Convention Center in San Diego, California. Here are some reflections on this conference that Jeff Moehlis has written to share with members of SIAG/DS and the dynamical systems community at large.

A "Dear Colleague Letter" has been issued by the National Science Foundation for proposal addressing crosscutting topics in theory and application of dynamical systems. It is sponsored jointly by the ENG/CMMI/Dynamical Systems and the MPS/DMS/Applied Mathematics program, with the intention to stimulate interest in special topics in Dynamical Systems.
