The 12th AIMS conference on Dynamical Systems, Differential Equations and Applications was held in Taipei, Taiwan, from July 5 to July 9, 2018. With more than 1600 participants it was the largest mathematical gathering in Taiwan ever.

The venue of the conference was the prestigious National Taiwan University. A special appreciation goes to the local colleagues for their very smooth organization. A difficult task indeed.

Ten plenary talks were given by distinguished mathematicians and all the subjects reflected at the highest level the main themes of the conference.

With 139 special sessions, ranging from theory to numerics with applications in various fields (e.g., materials science, fluid mechanics, biomathematics, tumor modeling, finance), participants were able to learn about the latest advances from many experts in the field as well as to exchange ideas. This was the core of the conference.

The conference dinner was a great opportunity for participants to try and taste Taiwanese delicacies, while enjoying conversation with old and new friends. It was also the occasion to disclose the prize list of the student paper competition. This list was drawn up by an appointed committee after the presentations given by the selected applicants. All of them were of remarkable level.

The 13th edition of the conference will be held in Atlanta, GA, USA, from June 5 to June 9, 2020.
