How can math affect Olympic diving, public opinion, or flight safety? These are topics of recent SIAM journal articles, and addressed in SIAM's video series - Math in our Lives! SIAM will be releasing one video each month through July 2019. The April 2019 video that was just released focuses on Applied Dynamical Systems.

In this video, we find out how momentum and shape changes of dives can be described as math models, how people's social networks impact their opinions and the emergence of opinion clusters, and how math can help make flying safer.
