The Department of Applied Mathematics offers MS and PhD degrees in nonlinear and dynamical systems. There are seven
faculty in the department (M.J. Ablowitz, D. Bortz, J.R. Curry, K. Julien, J.D.Meiss, J.R. Restrepo, H. Segur) who sponsor research in these areas, and a number of faculty in other departments who are
affiliates.
Research areas in the department include Computational Mathematics, Mathematical Biology, Nonlinear Phenomena, Physical Applied Mathematics, and Probability and Statistics.
