DSWeb Dynamical Systems Software aims to collect all available software on dynamical systems theory. This project was originally launched during the special year Emerging Applications of Dynamical Systems, 1997/1998, at the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications. The information here includes functionality, platforms, languages, references, and contacts.

Nonlinear Dynamical Uncertainty Quantification for Random Differential Equations

Kerstin Lux from the Technical University of Munich discusses a new article she co-authored in SIADS on extending bifurcation analysis to random differential equations.

Nonlinear Dynamics of Beliefs and Decisions in Social Systems

Anastasia Bizyaeva describes a new nonlinear dynamical framework she developed with collaborators for modeling beliefs evolution in social networks.

Norman J. Zabusky: A Nonlinear Odyssey

Obituary for Norman J. Zabusky

Norman Zabusky, a pioneer in some of the most extraordinary developments in “experimental mathematics” and nonlinear science, passed away on 5 February 2018. Norman played a major role in computational fluid dynamics and the importance of visualization. Most notably, however, he was a co-discoverer, along with Martin Kruskal, of the “soliton”, a robust, coherent localized solution of certain classes of nonlinear partial differential equations — a discovery that created a new paradigm.
