Centre for Interdisciplinary Computational and Dynamical Analysis (CICADA)
By Helen.Harper
CICADA (Centre for Interdisciplinary Computation and Dynamical
Analysis) is a fairly new centre involving mathematicians, computer
scientists and control theorists studying problems concerning the
combination of discrete and continuous spaces. The group has
been
awarded a grant of £1.7 million from EPSRC in order to build a
centre
of excellence to explore new mathematical and computational
methods
for analysing hybrid systems and asynchronous systems and to
develop
adaptive control methods for these systems.
