DSWeb Dynamical Systems Software aims to collect all available software on dynamical systems theory. This project was originally launched during the special year Emerging Applications of Dynamical Systems, 1997/1998, at the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications. The information here includes functionality, platforms, languages, references, and contacts.

Dynamics of Structured Systems

The "Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach" is an international research centre situated in the middle of the Schwarzwald in the south-western part of Germany. The Institute organizes around 50 one-week workshops per year where about 60 people gather for talks, research, and the famous walk through the woods for the Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte. This is an excerpt of the official report on the workshop held December 14-20, 2003 that was organized by Wolf-Jürgen Beyn, Bernold Fiedler, and John Guckenheimer.

Dynamics of Voter Models on Simple and Complex Networks

Sidney Redner discusses how groups of people reach consensus using voter models on networks.

Dynamics Today

Matthew J. Hoffman gives his impressions from the XXXIV Dynamics Days U.S. 2015 Conference.

Dynamics-based Machine Learning for Nonlinearizable Phenomena

Haller and colleagues demonstrate how dynamics-based machine learning can be used to construct accurate and predictive reduced-order models from data.

Edelspam

This week we celebrate the 33rd birthday of spam. According to leaders in the industry virus protection and email filtering, over 90% of email traffic is taken up by spam these days. Over 99% of this 90% is no more than annoying, but there is a small portion that targets us, applied mathematicians...
