Americas Conference on Differential Equations and Nonlinear Analysis

The bi-annual Americas Conference on Differential Equations and Nonlinear Analysis was organised by the Pan-American Advanced Studies Institute and held in Santiago-Chile at the Centro de Modelamiento Matemático Universidad de Chile, January 10-21, 2005.

Martin Golubitsky, President of SIAM

Martin Golubitsky, President of SIAM

Martin Golubitsky is well known for his work on dynamical systems with symmetry. He was chair of the SIAM Activity Group on Dynamical Systems (1999-2000) and just started his two-year term as SIAM President. Hinke Osinga talks with him about SIAM and his views of what SIAM can do for applied mathematics, and dynamical systems in particular.
