The 49th ANZIAM meeting, ANZIAM'13, was held in Newcastle, NSW, Australia, February 3-7, and was hosted by the University of Newcastle.

Invited speaker Prof. Hanna Kokko (Australian National U.) talks about evolutionary processes and how Mother Nature is often shortsighted.


J.H. Michell Medalist Dr. Matthew Simpson (Queensland U. of Technology) delivers a presentation on collective cell behavior.


ANZIAM Medalist Prof. Robert McKibbin (Massey U.) is speaking on multi-component multi-phase dispersive geothermal flows.


Ms. Lisa Mayo (Queensland U. of Technology) wins the A.F. Pillow Applied Mathematics Scholarship.
